            The Dangerous Weapons Amendment Act 29 of 1990 intends:
- to amend the Dangerous Weapons Act, 1968 [repealed in 2014], so as
 - to further define certain expressions;
 - to extend the power of the Minister of Law and Order to restrict or prohibit the possession of dangerous weapons to include firearms; and
 - to increase the fines which may be imposed in respect of offences; and
 - to provide for incidental matters.
