The Council for the Built Environment Act 43 of 2000 intends:
- to provide for the establishment of a juristic person to be known as the Council for the Built Environment;
- to provide for the composition, functions, powers, assets, rights, duties and financing of such a council; and
- to provide for matters connected therewith
