The Civil Aviation Offences Amendment Act 4 of 1981 intends:

  • to amend the Civil Aviation Offences Act, 1972 [repealed in March 2010], so as
    • to authorize the Minister to make regulations relating to
      • the appointment of a committee to advise the Minister and interested persons as to the safety of civil aviation;
      • the drawing-up and application of safety plans;
      • the persons who shall be responsible for the application of safety measures at certain airports and in respect of certain flights made with aircraft;
      • the administrative steps which shall precede the designation of aerodromes and heliports as airports;
      • the part of certain expenses which shall be met by the State, and the duty of airport managements and air carriers to render available particular equipment and to employ certain persons for certain purposes; and
    • to substitute a certain expression; and
  • to provide for incidental matters.
