24 of 1997

The Broadcasting Amendment Act 24 of 1997 intends:

  • to amend the Broadcasting Act, 1976 [repealed in 1999], in order
  • to reduce the membership of the Board of the South African Broadcasting Corporation; and
  • to provide that the proceeds of the sale of regional radio stations be paid into the National Revenue Fund.
