The Department of Public Works awards more bursaries for studies in the built industry
The Department of Public Works (DPW) cordially invites you to the awarding of bursaries ceremony, to 70 deserving students, studying for careers in the built industry. The ceremony will be addressed by Minister TW Nxesi, MP.
In January, 50 bursaries were awarded to learners from the DPW’s schools Programme, an element of the Built Environment Skills Pipeline Strategy.
The additional 70 bursaries are aimed at supporting students currently enrolled for careers in the built environment that are from disadvantaged communities, are currently in their second year to fifth year of their studies and have achieved an overall 65% pass from the previous level of study.
The 70 bursaries will bring to 120 bursaries that have been be handed out by the DPW towards careers in the built industry for the 2013/14 financial year.
