Minister Lindiwe Sisulu addresses 2012 Ministry for Public Service and Administration Women’s Day Celebration, 31 Aug

The Minister of Public Service and Administration (MPSA), Ms Lindiwe Sisulu will tomorrow, 31 August 2012, deliver a keynote address at the 2012 Ministry for Public Service and Administration Women’s Day Celebration.

The MPSA Women’s Day celebration is part of events aimed at commemorating the historic 1956 march to the Union Buildings of 20 000 women against pass-laws.

The MPSA Women’s Day Celebration will be celebrated under the theme: “Expanding opportunities for women’s voice, inclusion and participation in decisions that impact their lives”. The celebration will also deal with topics such as challenges facing women in the Public Service, attaining financial freedom and women overcoming poverty.

The event will be attended by more than 900 women from the Ministry for Public Service and Administration portfolio which include Public Administration Leadership and Management Academy (PALAMA), GEMS, State Information Technology Agency (SITA), Public Service Commission (PSC), and Centre for Public Service Innovation (CPSI).
