The development of policy to guide exhumations and handover ceremonies in respect of identified missing persons is being drafted under the leadership of the DOJCD Minister, in conjunction with SAPS, DAC,DHA , DFA, DSA, SAHRA and NPA.

Finalise disbursing reparation grants to the victims as defined in the TRC Act

16 837 beneficiaries who have applied for reparations, received a once-off grant of R30 000. 15833 beneficiaries were paid by Jun06. 1411 beneficiaries are unpaid. 692 beneficiaries were untraced and 360 beneficiaries died before they were paid grant.
