Firoz Cachalia

Professor Firoz Cachalia was sworn in as the Minister of Police on 1 August 2025.

He was a Law Professor at Wits University until July 2025 and and in September 2022 was appointed as Chairperson of the National Anti‑Corruption Advisory Council by President Ramaphosa.
