Sustainable Infrastructure Development Symposium South Africa

23 June 2020

President Cyril Ramaphosa will host a Sustainable Infrastructure Development Symposium at the Union Buildings, on Tuesday 23 June 2020. The symposium, taking place via video conference, will discuss the prioritisation of infrastructure development to support structural transformation, growth and job creation.

As the country works towards overcoming the social and economic fallout of COVID-19, the development of key infrastructure will play a critical role in building the economy and creating jobs. Infrastructure development can be the catalyst that places our country on a new growth trajectory.

The symposium will also reflect on a number of projects that have been identified by the National Infrastructure Fund.  The fund has finalised a list of projects worth R700 billion over the next 10 years.
