The National Payment System Amendment Act 22 of 2004 intends:
- to amend the National Payment System Act, 1998, so as:
- to provide for the withdrawal of recognition of a payment system management body by the South African Reserve Bank;
- to provide for designated settlement systems;
- to enable payments to third persons; and
- to provide for the issuance of directives by the South African Reserve Bank; and
- to provide for matters connected therewith.
