Economic Development Committee scrutinises job creation projects
The Portfolio Committee on Economic Development will this week assess progress in government funded job creation projects in Western Cape, Northern Cape, Mpumalanga and Gauteng provinces.
The Committee will commence its oversight on Monday by visiting the Hisense factory in Atlantis and Cape Town Film studios. On Tuesday, the Committee will visit Kalagadi Manganese,a mining exploration company based in Northern Cape. Wednesday will see the Committee visiting the Soya beans plant in Standerton and the Middleburg Steel Rehabilitation Project. And on Thursday, the Committee will be meeting with senior management of the Department of Economic Development and the Competition Tribunal.
