The Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services will be launching the National ICT Forum on Friday, 15 May 2015.
The Minister seeks to bring together government, labour, civil society and business to discuss critical sector issues that can facilitate the acceleration of socio-economic development.
The National ICT Forum is a platform to facilitate engagements with all South Africans on the best ways to use technology to modernise and transform our society, create jobs and reduce inequalities.
These engagements should help South Africa take her rightful place as user of ICT, content developer and applications innovators.
The Minister will host the forum under the theme “SA ICT Sector gearing up for new partnerships”
Discussions will be channeled through four chambers as follows;
1. e-Government
2. ICT Skills Development and Manufacturing
3. Small Business Support
4. Internet Governance
