North West Legislature to conduct public hearings on Agricultural Product Standards Amendment Bill [B15B – 2021]
On Friday, 22 September 2023, the North West Provincial Legislature Portfolio Committee on Economic Development, Environment and Tourism, Agriculture and Rural Development will be conducting public hearings on Agricultural Product Standards Amendment Bill [B15B – 2021] at Barolong Boo Ratlou Ba Ga Seitshiro Community Hall in Khunwana; Potchefstroom Agricultural College; Vryburg Banquet Hall and Bokamoso Community Hall in Madibeng at 10h00.
The Agricultural Product Standards Amendment Bill [B15B – 2021] seeks to amend Agricultural Product Standards, Act, 1990, so as to insert definitions and substitute others; to provide for auditing of a product for management control systems; to make provision for the setting of tariffs by assignees on a cost – recovery basis; to make further provisions for the Minister to make regulations pertaining to audit and management control systems; and to provide for matters connected there within.
Relevant stakeholders have been invited to attend the public hearing.
The public hearings will be streamed live in the North West Provincial Legislature Facebook and other social media platforms such as YouTube Channel.
