The service will be attended by the Premier Edna Molewa and some members of
the Executive Council. The North West Religious Leaders Forum embarked on a 12
days of prayer campaign from the 1 to 12 February 2009.
The campaign is spearheaded by the Kingdom Age Network of Apostles and
Prophets (KANAP) and it is a nationwide initiative which is geared towards
focused intercession for the country, its people and its leadership across all
sectors. The twelve days of prayer was conceived by the KANAP to inaugurate a
season of national healing and reconciliation between peoples and between
people and the creator.
This week will be used as a time of national repentance for the many things
that have gone wrong in the nation, including crime, racism, tribalism and
xenophobia and corruption. On the other hand the time will be used as
thanksgiving for Godâs safeguarding against these negative trends and the world
economic meltdown, HIV/AIDS etc. The nation will also pray for the successful
hosting of the FIFA 2010 World Cup, a just economic system, the restoration of
Africa as well as for moral regeneration and true reconciliation in the
land.
Members of the media are invited to attend.
