The Premier meets future leaders

2 November 2006

The Premier of Limpopo, Mr Sello Moloto invites children of the province to
a free, all-day festival in celebration of the provincial Children's Day.
Organised by the provincial government and other stakeholders, national
Children's Day celebrations have become an annual event on the South African
calendar.

This year's theme is, "My rights and responsibilities in South Africa's Age
of Hope" and the purpose of this day is to create awareness about the rights of
children and also to promote equal opportunities for children. This year's
celebrations come in style in Limpopo. On the morning of the event a medical
assessment will be given to children. Those under five will be immunised
against polio and be provided with vitamin A and other related medication for
this age.

As for the entertainment, the children's carnival will open from 09h00 to
17h00 and the children will be allowed to enjoy a kiddie's kingdom of jumping
castles, water slides, kgati, dibeke, sack and bottle racing. Also appearing
for the children are the country's top young musicians of Msawawa, Lesilo and
Bambino's calibre.

Various government departments will have stalls showcasing what they are
doing for the children.

The details of the event will be as follows:
