The Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka will pay a courtesy call on the
House of Traditional Leaders this afternoon. Liaising and dealing with the
traditional leaders is part of the responsibilities of the Deputy
President.
She will be meeting the newly-elected leadership for the first time since
their ascension to their new roles. Traditional leaders are important in
assisting the government in dealing with the many challenges of improving the
lives of rural people in South Africa.
