SASSA delivers services to rural communities in Nkomazi Local Municipality, 25 Aug

SASSA reaching out to the rural communities

Mpumalanga, South African Social Security Agency [SASSA] will be delivering its services to the rural communities during the Integrated Community Registration Outreach Program (ICROP) at Khombaso Community hall which is in the center of Masibekela, Mananga, Thambokhulu and Mandulo villages in Nkomazi Local Municipality. All these Villages are under Mbangwane area.

The aims of the ICROP are to ensure that beneficiaries receives SASSA services without travelling long distance, to reduce overcrowding at local offices and to improve customer relations.

The Agency will be rendering all services that are taking place at the offices. Beneficiaries will be educated about the social grants, payment method and taking social grant applications and enquiry services about any challenges faced by the clients/beneficiaries.

The Agency has targeted the area because it is one of the most impoverished and remote located communities from Government services. In this area the community is largely depending on social grants as a means of income. Mbangwane residence has 32790 SASSA beneficiaries.
