The Acting President of the Republic, the Minister of Environmental Affairs Ms Edna Molewa, has extended condolences on behalf of government to the family of former National Police Commissioner, Mr Jackie Selebi, who passed away this morning.
Mr Selebi is also a former Director-General of the then Department of Foreign Affairs and a veteran of the liberation struggle.
"We extend our deepest condolences to the Selebi family on the sad passing. Mr Selebi's selfless contribution to the liberation struggle as well as the freedom and democracy we enjoy today will forever be remembered," said Acting President Molewa
