            The Magistrates Act 90 of 1993 intends:
- to provide for the establishment, constitution, objects and functions of a Magistrates Commission;
 - to further regulate the appointment and remuneration of, and vacation of office by, magistrates;
 - to provide that certain conditions of service of magistrates and other judicial officers may be determined by regulation; and
 - to provide for matters in connection therewith.
