Consultative workshop for the Mpumalanga province on the Draft National Anti-Corruption Strategy

In 2017 the then Minister in the Presidency, Mr Jeff Radebe launched the Anti-Corruption Discussion Document that served as a basis for the development of National Anti-Corruption Strategy for South Africa (NACS). The Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME) drafted the National Anti-Corruption Strategy and is consulting representatives of labour, civil society, business, government and the general public to solicit their inputs on the draft NACS.

Members of the media are hereby invited to cover the final provincial consultative workshop in White River (Mpumalanga) on the draft National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) to be held as follows:

The objectives of the workshop is to:

  • Obtain inputs on the strategic pillars of the proposed National Anti-Corruption Strategy from stakeholders in the Mpumalanga Province;
  • Create awareness amongst key stakeholders in provinces to ensure a fully inclusive consultation process; and
  • Inform stakeholders about the whole process of developing the national anti-corruption strategy.

The draft NACS compiled by a drafting team working under the guidance of NACS Steering Committee is attached for your perusal. The diagnostic report and discussion document which form the basis of the Anti-Corruption Strategy are all available on the Government website: https://www.gov.za/anticorruption
