The Powers and Privileges of Provincial Councils Act 16 of 1948 intends:
- to confer certain powers and privileges upon provincial councils;
- to provide for certain matters in connection with the proceedings of provincial councils and for matters incidental thereto; and
- to amend the South Africa Act, 1909 [repealed].
