Deputy Minister Enver Surty hands over Manyano High School Official Project in Cape Town, 4 Dec

The Deputy Minister of Basic Education, Mr Enver Surty will on Tuesday, 04 December 2018, officially handover the Manyano High School Official Project in Khayelitsha, Cape Town.

The Manyano High School Official Project was sponsored by the SA Medical and Education Foundation (SAME Foundation), a section 18a public benefit organisation that focuses on education and healthcare. SAMEF work with primary and secondary schools across South Africa by renovating their facilities and providing crucial learning equipment. It is their mission to allow children in extremely poor communities the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Other speakers at the official handover includes the CEO and Chairman of SAMEF, Mr Trevor Pols and the Senior Manager of Marketing and Public Affairs at Sasol, Mr Christopher Kabosha. Schools Principals from other schools that benefitted from SAMEF Projects will also be in attendance.

This project further speaks to the importance of partnerships in education to ensure that we continue to transform the education landscape for South African learners to ensure safe and appropriate spaces for learning and teaching.
