On Friday, 05 July 2019, the North West Provincial Legislature will be hosting the Youth Sectoral Parliament under the theme: “The Relevance of 4th Industrial Revolution in the Development of Young People”, at the Legislature Chamber at 10h00.
The sectoral parliament discussions will focus on the current debate regarding the 4th Industrial Revolution in relation to Agriculture and Finance in government.
The objective of the sectoral parliament is to ensure that oversight and public participation is enhanced by creating a platform for the relevant stakeholders in the North West; to engage with Members of Provincial Legislature and the Executive on issues of the 4th Industrial Revolution in developing young people to be significant contributors to the provincial economy.
It is also aimed at formulating a Provincial working programme geared towards ensuring that young emerging farmers and entrepreneurs are capacitated to enhance their role as a sector towards fulfilment of the 4thIndustrial Revolution strategies.
About 300 young people which include youth in agriculture, business and structured agricultural education and training directorate as well as different government departments will be present at the event.
