Minister Nathi Mthethwa launches Technical and Production Conference in Africa Month, 14 May

Arts and Culture Minister, Mr Nathi Mthethwa will deliver a keynote address at the launch of the first Africa’s Live Event, Technical & Production Conference (LETPC 2015) on Thursday, 14 May 2015, at the Sunnyside Park Hotel in Parktown, Johannesburg.

The conference which runs from 13 to 16 May 2015 is hosted by the Department of Arts and Culture (DAC) in partnership with the South African Roadies Association (SARA) under the Africa month activities theme "We Are Africa-Opening the doors of learning and culture to promote peace and friendship from Cape to Cairo’.

The aim of the conference is to discuss training and skill development for professionals and practitioners in the events, technical, production and education sectors. The resolutions of the conference are expected to contribute to a strategy that will strengthen the cultural and creative industries and their value-add in socio-economic development globally.
