The Minister of Transport, Mr Fikile Mbalula will take part in a roadshow that will encourage taxi operators in the Western Cape to apply for funding under the Covid-19 Taxi Relief Fund (TRF) scheme.
Minister Mbalula will engage directly with the taxi owners and associations in a bid to educate them about the importance of the TRF scheme. The TRF is a financial support scheme introduced by the National Department of Transport (NDoT) in collaboration with the National Empowerment Fund (NEF) to help mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the taxi industry.
