Members of the media are invited to join the Minister of Higheer Education, Science and Innovation, Dr Blade Nzimande during the official launch of the Nelson Mandela University (NMU) Medical School.
The planning for the Nelson Mandela University medical school dates back to 2013 when a business plan was first developed.
In 2014, the Department of Higher Education and Training supported NMU to establish a school of medicine and public health with additional relevant programmes in medicine and public health as part of the university’s ten-year Master Plan.
