Development Agency hosts South African Early Childhood Development Awards Ceremony, 26 Mar

The South African Early Childhood Development (SAECD) Awards recognise excellence, hard work and dedication in the early childhood development sector as well as invest in the future of South African children by recognising individual practitioners, centres and organisations involved in the development of this sector throughout South Africa.

The finalists are winners that have already been crowned in their various provinces.

The awards are hosted by the National Development Agency (NDA), after a handover from Absa last year, in partnership with the Departments of Social Development, Basic Education and Health, the SA Congress for ECD, UNICEF and SABC Education.

The following categories will be awarded on the evening:

  • Best ECD centre
  • Best ECD Practitioner
  • Best Trainer
  • Best ECD Training and Intervention
  • Best ECD Publication
  • Best Programme for Children with Disabilities

The Minister of the Department of Social Development, Bathabile Olive Dlamini, will give a keynote address.
