Deputy Minister Buti Manamela launches Heritage Careers Expo in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng, 1 and 3 Jun

In partnership with TETA, Gibela, and Transnet, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Mr Buti Manamela, steps up the 2nd Annual Heritage Careers Campaign

The Heritage Careers Expo is an annual initiative by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, MP, Buti Manamela. The expo seeks to raise awareness about heritage careers and expose the youth to opportunities in heritage subsectors. This year’s instalment dubbed “Unlocking the wealth in our heritage”, was launched in Mapungubwe National Park early this month and will be spreading to Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal and the Western Cape in June.

Deputy Minister Manamela is anticipated to expose a selected group of learners from rural areas to heritage careers in rail, maritime and navy subsectors through site visits to Gibela Rail Plant and Richards Bay Port. He will be accompanied by TETA executives.
