Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka will tomorrow, Thursday, 17 May,
deliver the keynote address at the Equal Opportunity Foundation's 21 Years
Celebration Dinner at The Bay Hotel, Camps Bay in Cape Town.
The foundation will be celebrating twenty one years of disbursing grants to
the value of over R42 million to 1 257 projects nationally in areas including
early childhood development, income generation, HIV and AIDS, community
resource centre, primary healthcare, education outreach, bursaries and Arts and
Culture.
The Equal Opportunity Foundation, which was established in 1986 as an
independent, non-profit agency focusing on community development in South
Africa, is deserving of recognition for its sterling work which served to move
South Africa closer to the goal of rolling back the frontiers of illiteracy,
poverty, underdevelopment and joblessness.
