Middleburg Mine donates humanitarian relief to fire
victims

Affected fire victims in the Emakhazeni Municipality of Belfast are to
receive donations from the Middleburg Mine this week. The Mine will donate 210
blankets and 30 bales for livestock aimed at assisting them after the disaster.
Latest reports indicate that the recent fires that ravaged the province left 11
people dead; 23 were injured due to fire; six were injured in smoke related
accidents; several livestock were injured; 40 200 hectares of plantations and
16 000 hectares of grazing fields have been destroyed by the fires.

The Provincial Disaster Management Team is currently in the process of
co-ordinating the assessment of the damage done by the fires. It is envisaged
that the assessment will be completed in the next week.

The donation is scheduled to take place in Eerselingfontein
(Blyvooruitficht), which is one of the most affected areas in Emakahzeni and is
scheduled as follows:
