The Gauteng MEC for Education Angie Motshekga will brief the media on
investigative reports following a meeting with her senior managers.
The briefing will be held to shed more light on a series of events, starting
with the non-payment of operators, finding of ghost teachers in schools,
chaotic march by Congress of South African Students (COSAS) as well as
suspending of senior managers in the Soweto District office.
The MEC will release the following reports:
* forensic report on scholar transport
* uncovering of a scam to create and pay ghost teachers
* suspension of senior managers in Soweto District
* memorandum by COSAS
* shocking statements by learners on SABC Special Assignment
