Efforts Mobilised to find Tazne van Wyk

The MEC of Community Safety, Albert Fritz, calls on communities to actively play their part in the search for missing Tazne van Wyk (8) from Ravensmead. MEC Fritz will further mobilise local and surrounding NHWs and CPFs to assist in the search. Please see Pink Ladies’ flyer attached.

Tazne reportedly went missing on Friday, 7 February 2020. She was last seen in Claire Street, Connaught Estate, Elsies River, on her way to the shops.

MEC Fritz said, “Tazne was last seen wearing a red and white top and red shorts. She can further be identified by the scar on her left hand from a prior operation, a missing tooth in her upper jaw, brown eyes and black hair. She is roughly 20kgs and is 1.5m in height.”

MEC Fritz added, “I commend the Pink Ladies, SAPS’ Missing Persons Unit and the local community on their efforts thus far to locate young Tazne. My heart is with the family and friends of Tazne during this time of uncertainty. I call on members of the community to assist in efforts to find her and bring her back home safely. I will engage with Neighbourhood Watches and CPFs to who will to further assist in this regard.”

MEC Fritz added, “Anyone with any information should immediately come forward and report such to SAPS Delft FCS Unit’s Sergeant D Franks 082 334 8772. Reports can also be made to Crime Stop on 08600 10111. Alternatively, the Pink Ladies can be contacted on 072 214 7439 or 083 378 4882.”
