Invitation to Hearings on Gender Transformation at Local Municipalities.
As part of its Constitutional mandate, the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) will be holding investigative hearings into gender transformation at Local Municipalities in South Africa. The Commission is embarking on these hearings to monitor progress made and the challenges faced by Local Municipalities in promoting gender transformation. The investigations will probe current internal policies, systems, gender-equality programmes and strategies put in place by these organizations to ensure effective gender transformation. The Municipalities will be appearing on the following dates:
