On 18 July 2023, the Gauteng Department of e-Government will be celebrating Mandela Day by opening a computer lab at Eastrand School of Arts, Daveyton Ekurhuleni.
The opening of the computer lab at Eastrand School of Arts comes after the department was made aware of the non-functioning of the lab due to lack of resources such as furniture and computers stolen from the school. The department then made a commitment to provide the needed computers and furniture to restore the lab.
The computer lab is provided with the department’s free WIFI called Gauteng Provincial Network to provide connectivity and make the process of learning and teaching easier.
