Acting Premier of the North West Province, Patrick Dumile Nono Maloyi will lead the Provincial Women’s Day commemoration at Potchefstroom under the theme: Accelerating Socio-economic Opportunities for Women’s empowerment.
As part of the women’s month activities, the provincial government will before and after the provincial women’s day celebration host a number of events, to highlight issues of gender equity and women empowerment. They include financial literacy for women, theatre productions dedicated to women, dialogue with women in sports, women in agriculture and construction, as well as addressing the scourge of gender-based violence.
The Provincial Women’s Day celebrations will be held as follows:
