M Shilowa to address Soccerex London Forum, 9 May

Premier to address Soccerex London Forum

2 May 2007

Gauteng Premier Mbhazima Shilowa will join Britain's Sport Minister, Richard
Caborn, and other dignitaries at the opening of the Soccerex London Forum at
the Wembley Stadium on 9 May 2007.

Shilowa will be accompanied by Gauteng MEC for Finance and Economic Affairs,
Paul Mashatile, and Gauteng MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation,
Barbara Creecy, and a delegation of senior government officials at the event,
which will be attended by top international football and business
executives.

The Premier will deliver an opening address at the forum, which will also be
addressed by 2010 FIFA World Cup Local Organising Committee CEO Danny
Jordaan.

Gauteng last year won the rights to host Soccerex, the world's largest
business football convention and exhibition, for three years, following its
successful run in Dubai. The event will be held at the Sandton Convention
Centre from 26 to 28 November 2007.

Soccerex provides Gauteng and South Africa with an international platform to
showcase the province and the country as a destination for investment, tourism
and competitive sporting events, particularly in the build up to the 2010 FIFA
World Cup. The event is expected to inject about R7 billion into the Gauteng
economy.

The Soccerex London Forum attracts top international stakeholders in the
football industry. High level networking, incisive debate on the latest issues
facing the game, celebrities, and of course, live football is all high on the
agenda for the 3rd annual London Forum.
