The North West MEC for Developmental Local Government and Housing Phenye
Vilakazi, North West Premier Edna Molewa and the Minister of Water and Forestry
Lindiwe Hendricks will form part of the delegation that will attend the North
West Sanitation Summit on Monday, 14 May 2007, at the Mmabatho Convention
Centre at 08h30.
The purpose of the summit is to ensure the alignment of water and sanitation
delivery plans by all sector departments, to determine the state of readiness
of the province in meeting the water and sanitation targets as stated by
President Thabo Mbeki in his State of the Nation Address (SONA) of 2007, as
well as to develop and adopt the provincial acceleration plan.
