13 December 2007
The KwaZulu-Natal Office of the Premier will officially launch the Moral
Regeneration Movement Forum, for the Amajuba and uThukela Districts, at the
Sanford Park Country Hotel in Bergville in northern KwaZulu-Natal commencing at
08h00 tomorrow, Friday, 14 December 2007.
This launch forms part of the KwaZulu-Natal provincial Moral Regeneration
Movement Forum (MRM). Similar forums will be established in all districts of
the province. The MRM intends to be civil society driven with the necessary
support from government. Its purpose is to facilitate, encourage, and
co-ordinate the many concerns, which already exist amongst the citizens of the
province.
The MRM will address the issue of the responsibility that each and all of us
should take for our lives, moving from the understanding that, as we were our
own liberators in resistance against apartheid so too should we today act as
our own liberators in dealing with its legacy.
All media are invited to attend. Please note picture opportunities.
