The Head of Department for KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health, Dr BM
Nyembezi, will address an urgent media briefing on the latest status quo in our
provincial hospitals and health services.
In relation to the current status quo, Dr BM Nyembezi will also unveil
contingency and future plans of the Department.
With the ongoing strike action, a decision was taken by national health and
public service and administration departments to dismiss health workers
involved in this industrial action. The Head of Department (HoD) is also
expected to highlight this decision in relation to KwaZulu-Natal Department of
Health.
Health workers will be encouraged and urged to return to work as health
services have been severely disrupted as a result of this ongoing strike
action.
