You are invited to the opening ceremony of the SEED (Supporting
Entrepreneurs for Environmental Development) partnership forum to be held on
Monday, 15 October 2007, in Pretoria.

This forum provides a platform for environmental entrepreneurs from across
the globe to share experiences, strategies and best practice. It will also look
at how partnerships are being used to implement the commitments from the
Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development and the Millennium
Development Goals.
The Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Derek Hanekom will deliver a
welcome address while Jay Naidoo, Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA)
chairman and former Minister of Communications, will deliver a keynote
address.
The five 2007 SEED winners are from Peru, Vietnam, Ecuador, Brazil and
Sierra Leone respectively and will also present their projects.
SEED is an initiative that inspires, supports and researches exceptional,
entrepreneurial, promising, multi-stakeholder partnerships for locally-led
sustainable development.
