Stats South Africa takes pleasure in inviting you to attend its workshops on
the role of statistics in the economy and society. The workshops will be held
in Gauteng, Western Cape, Northern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal/Eastern Cape.
These workshops offer a platform for debate and discussion on topical issues
related to the economy and society such as potential for a growing economy,
unemployment and skills development. Other thought-provoking topics for
discussion include a discussion on changing consumer expenditure patterns and
the impact it would have on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
Parallel sessions will run for those who want a more hands-on approach to
accessing and using statistics. These sessions are ideal for data users who
want more in-depth knowledge on specific areas.
Speakers at the workshop are from the various work areas within Stats South
Africa and from external organisations. More information regarding the line-up
of speakers is available on request.
