Gauteng Premier David Makhura and Members of the Executive Council (MECs) will on Wednesday, 25 May 2016, takes part at the Africa Day celebrations hosted jointly by the Gauteng Government and the Africa Diaspora Forum in Yeoville, Johannesburg.
Africa Day is celebrated on May 25 every year across the continent. As part of Africa month celebrations Premier Makhura hosted an engagement with members of the Africa Diaspora Forum earlier this month to discuss the challenges they face as residents of Gauteng.
The members of the Diaspora told the Premier that despite the many challenges they face, Gauteng remains the most welcoming and friendliest of all the provinces with regard to making their stay in South Africa more pleasant and productive.
A number of ambassadors from various African countries will be in attendance.
