The Minister of Social Development, Dr Zola Skweyiya, will on Thursday, 4
May 2006, visit social grant pay points in Mamelodi, Pretoria, to interact with
social grant beneficiaries to assess service delivery.
The visit follows the transfer of social grant disbursement functions to the
South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Gauteng, Western Cape and
Northern Cape in April. It also forms part of the Ministryâs Batho Pele People
First service delivery improvement programme.
Dr Skweyiya will visit the following areas, starting at 9h00 on
Thursday:
* Stanza Bopape, 27401 Rammapodu Street, Extension 5, Mamelodi East
* Mamelodi West Community Hall, Tshweni Street.
