The Minister of Social Development, Dr Zola Skweyiya, accompanied by the
Deputy Minister, Dr Jean Swanson-Jacobs, will hold a media and stakeholder
briefing on the combating of drugs and substance abuse, on Monday, 20 August
2007.
The two principals will be joined by the Chairperson of the Central Drug
Authority (CDA), Mr Pitso Montwedi. The CDA is tasked with the responsibility
of monitoring and overseeing the National Drug Master Plan, the national
strategy to guide service delivery in the combating of substance abuse.
