Commonwealth achievements

The outstanding achievements of Babalwa Ndleleni at the recent Commonwealth
Games held in Melbourne, Australia, will be celebrated with her in a fitting
function organised and financed by the Gugulethu Business Community on
Saturday, 8 April 2006. The gala dinner will be preceded by a motorcade,
parading the medal Babalwa won through the streets of Gugulethu, Nyanga and
Crossroads. All sport journalists are invited to attend this colourful event
and witness local businesspeople honouring the lady that brought so much pride
to the townships, the Western Cape, South Africa and the entire African
continent.
Those interested to cover the motorcade are welcome to join the start at 12
o'clock at the Gugulethu Sport Complex, corners of NY1 and NY2.
While the formal function will be held at the same venue, Gugulethu Sport
Complex at 18h00. The function will be graced by the presence of provincial
Ministers, the Premier, leaders of the corporate world and sportspeople.
