The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) is supporting the Corporate
Council on Africa (CCA) who is hosting the 2007 United States of America -
Africa Business Summit from 14 to 16 November 2007 in Cape Town, South
Africa.
The Summit will serve as a platform for partnerships between United States
of America (USA) and African businesses. Companies of all sizes, representing
various industries will be in attendance, eager to find new opportunities to
grow and impact the bottom line.
The CCA has worked for years to encourage US companies to invest in Africa.
This year, there is no better platform for you to explore the endless
opportunities for international trade and investment with leading U.S.
companies.
President Thabo Mbeki, along with several African Heads of State, will
attend to complement and facilitate discussions with dynamic companies from
across the African continent and the US.
The Summit will focus on relevant areas of business for Africa, including:
energy, power, telecommunications, mining, infrastructure, tourism, finance,
health, small business opportunities and more.
The 2007 US-Africa Business Summit will also include a trade expo, where
companies will showcase new products and services. This high-energy environment
will no doubt be the centre for many new relationships.
