The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) together with the South
African National Accreditation System (SANAS) will be holding workshops and
training sessions in order to equip and inform the Black Economic Empowerment
(BEE) verification agencies and / or prospective BEE verification agencies and
interested parties with the criteria and standards for BEE verification
agencies. During these workshops, the final R47 document (Criteria and
Standards for BEE Verification Agencies) as well as the accreditation procedure
would be discussed.
