The Department of Health and the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS)
will today hold a media briefing on the progress in the strengthening of
quality assurance processes for condoms that are distributed by government as
part of its programme to prevent sexually transmitted infections (including
HIV) and unwanted pregnancies.
The media briefing will be addressed by the Director-General of the
Department of Health, Thami Mseleku together with Martien Kuscus the Chief
Executive Officer of the SABS.
