Eastern Cape MEC for Safety and Liaison, Mr Thobile Mhlahlo will host a
workshop for Nelson Mandela Metro nightclub and tavern owners in preparation
for 2010 FIFA World Cup on Friday, 11 May 2007 at Lilian Ngoyi Community Hall
in Port Elizabeth at 09h00.
The purpose of this workshop is to mobilise nightclub and tavern owners to
play a role in the fight against crime as the city prepares for this
international football showpiece. The programme will include speakers from the
Department of Economic Affairs and the Liquor Board, who will unpack the
legislation that governs liquor outlets. The Nelson Mandela Metro Municipality
is expected to explain its by-laws on this matter.
