President Mbeki to receive courtesy call from Mo Ibrahim
Foundation

31 October 2006

President Thabo Mbeki will today, Tuesday, 31 October, receive a courtesy
call from the Mo Ibrahim Foundation Board at the Union Buildings, at 12h30.

The Foundation was recently launched on Thursday, 26 October 2006, to honour
excellence in leadership on the African continent by, amongst other things,
recognising those African presidents who have contributed to the realisation of
good governance and democracy during their constitutional terms of office.

The courtesy call will take place after President Mbeki's address to the
Opening Session of the Africa Forum, a forum which, like the Mo Ibrahim
Foundation, seeks to promote lasting peace, development and good governance
necessary for the creation of a better Africa.

Accordingly, members of the media are invited for a photo opportunity to be
held as follows:
Date: Tuesday, 31 October 2006
Venue: Union Buildings, the Presidency, West Wing
